Three Easy Guacamole Lunch Hacks

If you hate not having guacamole when you need it, freezing is a great option.

Can you freeze guacamole? Yes! Guacamole freezes beautifully and keeps for up to three months. Simply pop WHOLLY GUACAMOLE® products into the freezer as-is, and then follow our tips below for defrosting or using them as a freeze pack.

hack 1: Guacamole on-demand

If you’re planning ahead – The best way to thaw a WHOLLY GUACAMOLE® product is to move it from the freezer to the refrigerator 24 hours before you need it.

HACK 2: GUACAMOLE right now

If you need it quick – If you don’’t have time to wait 24 hours for the guac to thaw, you can put the package in a bowl of cold water for 30-40 minutes until it softens up. Remember, never let it get to room temperature or become warm for food safety.

Hack 3: Keep your lunch cold

If you love eating Guacamole Minis with your lunch, put a frozen mini in your lunch bag to keep it cool. By the time lunch rolls around, the mini will be thawed and ready for you to enjoy on your Chicken Sliders or Italian Wrap.

Remember, always include a cooler pack to keep your minis cold for food safety. For a cheap, easy DIY cooler pack, drench a sponge in water and freeze it, then put it in a plastic sandwich bag.
