Are your WHOLLY GUACAMOLE® products truly all natural? No preservatives?

That’s right! Instead of heat or chemicals to preserve our product that can damage natural flavors, WHOLLY GUACAMOLE® is Fresherized®. It’s an ultra-high pressure that uses extreme water pressure (approximately 87,000 pounds per square inch) to kill naturally occurring pathogens, which cause food deterioration and affect food safety (including salmonella).

 


 

Why is Fresherized® superior to other forms of food preservation? 

Fresherized, also known as Ultra-High Pressure (UHP) is an all-natural process. Lots of other food preservation methods use heat, chemicals and other processes that can ultimately damage natural flavors. Fresherized merely uses water at extreme pressures. At approximately 87,000 pounds per square inch- that’s some serious pressure!

This process kills naturally occurring bacteria that can cause food deterioration and affects food safety, including salmonella, while at the same time preserving taste, texture and natural vitamins. That’s how we get a great tasting product without jamming it full of chemicals and preservatives.

Oh, by the way . . . we don’t just use this process for the heck of it. Our founder pioneered this process and now we’re the world’s largest user of this high-pressure process!

Our guacamole and salsa are both allergen free. Our queso contains milk, soy and wheat.
